Ghana FA Boss Kwesi Nyantakyi has revealed that Ghanaian FIFA Agent Christopher Forsythe has contacted him from his base in London to apologize for dragging him into the latest match-fixing scandal involving the UK newspaper the Daily Telegraph.
“I tried to call him. I hear he is in London. I couldn’t get through to him but I sent an e-mail to him and he responded by saying that, he was apologetic and he said that he would never do anything to tarnish my image but the harm has already been caused so we just have to look forward,” Nyantakyi told the media at a press conference in Maceio.
FIFA Agent Christopher Forsythe and Berekum Chelsea Chief Executive Obed Nana Nketiah were secretly filmed by personnel of “the Daily Telegraph” claiming to be match agents where the Ghanaian football administrators stated in the video evidence that they would bribe GFA President Kwesi Nyantakyi to ensure a contract is signed for them to arrange matches for the Black Stars.
Though Kwesi Nyantakyi has denied the claims that he has signed a contract with any match agents in Miami, a new video evidence has emerged on the “Daily Telegraph” website where the Ghana FA Boss was filmed in a casual meeting with Berekum Chelsea CEO Obed Nana Nketiah agreeing to a deal proposed by two other Daily Telegraph investigative reporters posing as match agents.
