According to Francis Doku, actress and TV presenter Joselyn Dumas will no more be the host of Viasat1 TV’s flagship lifestyle show, “The One Show” when it returns with a new season in October. The new host of the weekday show will be one of the nation’s most popular female broadcasters and presenters Anita Erskine-Amaizo, who was the producer of the first few seasons of “The One Show.”
For those who watched the final show of the previous season of “The One Show” it would not be surprising for them to hear that Dumas won’t be on the show anymore as she said on that show that it would be her last. Also to lose his place on the show will be Dumas’ co-host for many seasons P.Y. Addo-Boateng. Just like Dumas, he will not return with “The One Show” in October this year, the source disclosed.
Part of the reason P.Y. won’t return is because the show would be focused more on women related issues than on the entertainment related issues that his partnership with Dumas produced in previous seasons. Anita will therefore be tasked to make the show more feminine to target that demography.
Anita Erskine-Amaizo who recently took part in the Vlisco Women’s Month Dare To Dream campaign will restart her Viasat1 journey before the end of July when she sits in to co-host the station’s morning show “This Morning” in place of Kokui Serlomey.
Kokui Selormey is expecting and will soon go on a maternity leave to return in the first week of September. Thus Anita will co-host the show with Patrice Amegashie until Korkui returns then she will leave and then come back with “The One Show” in October. Joselyn Dumas has grown with the show which gave her the opportunity to host other big events and television shows such as “At Home With…” on DStv. The bi-lingual Anita Erskine-Amaizo will come to “The One Show” with a big resume of television shows she has presented. They include “Making Of A Mogul”,”Cooking With….” and “Pamper Your Mum” – three popular shows on the DStv.
